I founded space for thought in 2004. I have been designing for over 12 years.

I started off as a designer at Kirchhoff Consult in 1998, designing annual reports and IPO brochures. I really wanted a share of the internet hype back then, so I changed jobs in 2000, starting as an Art-Director at Popnet AG.

Like so many online firms back then, Popnet didn't survive the big crash, so I moved on from Hamburg to Frankfurt to lead the Frankfurt design department of The Peter Schmidt Group as Creative-Director. There I worked for clients such as Lufthansa, Vaillant and Postbank.

Feeling homesick for Hamburg I returned in 2004, starting off as a freelance designer for large and small design and design, advertising, and online agencies, supporting their creative teams or taking creative responsibilty for whole projects.

I try to do a little low- or non-profit cultural or NGO work at least once a year, simply because it feels good and right. I supported the britspotting filmfestival 2009, and created a poster for Clean Up Australia. I also have been teaching online design to students of the SAE Institue here in Hamburg, as well as training Art-Directors with little or no online experience.

Currently, I am supporting Adobe here in hamburg as a User Experince Consultant.
